Construction Diary 2 - Rising Walls

INT. RIVER SOUND STUDIO - APRIL 2024
The time had come. Finally the room-in-room construction began. Tons of plaster and hundreds of hours of work for five new walls (we even doubled one for sound insulation), a suspended ceiling and a raised floor.

Decoupling the construction from the existing structure was particularly challenging to ensure that as little structure-borne sound as possible was transmitted.

All the walls, the ceiling and the floor “float”, so to speak, and are only connected to each other with air, silicone and rubber.
